sheqAt Connect Scaffolding Ltd we recognise the importance of safe systems of work are essential to ensure all scaffolds are erected, adapted and dismantled safely, on time and to a high standard. As such, we employ a full time Health and Safety Manager whose responsibility is to advise on and ensure all our work activities are carried out in accordance with the latest guidelines, legislation and approved codes of practice. In addition, we employ external H&S consultants to audit our own H&S systems and procedures. Our aim is to uniformly manage overall business risk and continually improve our operational performance.

The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme

chasConnect Scaffolding Ltd is audited annually under the CHAS.

CHAS is established as the market leader for health and safety pre-qualification in the UK.

A CHAS compliant supplier has demonstrated that they have adequate compliance with current legislation and sound management of health and safety.

The National Access and Scaffolding Confederation

nascConnect Scaffolding Ltd has been an NASC member since 2003.

The NASC is recognised as the national trade body for access and scaffolding in the UK, producing a wide range of industry guidance for scaffolding contractors, their operatives and their clients.

Members of the NASC are strictly regulated to ensure a continuous high standard of scaffolding practice.

Environmental

environmentConnect Scaffolding Ltd acknowledges the impacts of its activities on the environment at a local, national and global level. It therefore seeks solutions to environmental problems by adopting sound principles and best practice according to the principles of sustainable development.

BS EN ISO 9001:2008 Connect Scaffolding Ltd has total commitment to a Business Management System which forms the framework for all company activities and processes. The Business Management System will enable us to continually improve customer satisfaction, quality and business performance throughout our organisation.

Specifically, Connect Scaffolding Ltd has a responsibility to:

  • Comply with BS EN ISO 9001:2008, external standard approvals and customer requirements and to continually review and improve the effectiveness of the Business Management System and quality objectives.
  • Create an organisational structure that promotes a culture which supports quality.
  • Provide appropriate training and guidance to empower employees to meet quality objectives and provide the necessary resource to allow compliance with the Business Management System.
  • Establish a framework within the organisation to enable constant review of our quality objectives and actively encourage the involvement of employees in developing the Business Management System.
